Helsinki

Helsinki, the first city of a new trip, new semester, the first leg. Looking back I hated Helsinki the first day I was there I did not know the city and I was so stressed and preoccupied wondering how this next semester would go who these mystery instructors were, but after all of these worries have drifted aside Helsinki was one of my favorite cities during My Europe experience. It is young has not quite gained its identity in this modern world, so maybe it is like me in this place, young, searching and developing existing in a modern world? It is not the best looking or most developed city I have been to but I had a great experience. I will remember it as the easiest city to meet locals, but they speak better English than me so it was not to hard, but this very thing made going out at night and looking for places during the day easy and enjoyable without all of the anticipation developed in other places I have been. Looking back now with two weeks left to go as I finish this blog about Helsinki that I started two months ago, I have a warm feeling and satisfaction about my trip there and the experiences I had. It is great to grow up with a city and visit it and have a relationship with it because me a human am in the same place as a city with a century old history in this modern world.
